Continuous mathematical models
Entry requirements: Basic knowledge of algebra, calculus and differential equations theory
Language of the course: English
Students will get acquainted with the contemporary methods of mathematical modeling using deterministic continuous models (ordinary and partial differential equations), which includes model formulation, model analysis (analytic solution, numerical solution, analysis of the equilibrium points) and model calibration to data.
Main topics of the discipline: Basics of mathematical modeling, ODE formulation and solution (analytic, numerical), the foundations of stability theory, model analysis and calibration.
Lectures and practice assignments
The assessment is based on the weekly assignments, group work, individual work and final exam. Attendance to the first lecture is required.
