To get the idea of the history of mathematical epidemiology and its actual aims, to observe and apply the mathematical apparatus intended for solving the problems of epidemiology.
Introduction to mathematical epidemiology. Simple epidemiological models and their application. Models with host heterogeneities. Multi-pathogen and multi-host models. Stochastic dynamics. Spatial models. Controlling infectious diseases.
